That one indeed is a man who, today, dedicateth himself to the service of the entire human race. The Great Being saith: Blessed and happy is he that ariseth to promote the best interests of the peoples and kindreds of the earth.

Baha’u’llah,

Core Activities

Core activities are activities that make up the core of Baha’i community life worldwide. The four general core activities are:

  • Devotional Meetings
Baha’is all around the world hold regular gatherings where various peoples, different races and souls of every capacity come together so that love and agreement can grow between them. Regardless of religion, faith or creed, Baha’i devotional gatherings welcome everyone.
  • Study Circles
To further the spiritual aim of fostering the spirit of oneness across the world, Baha’is host study circles, gatherings that bring small groups of people together to explore the Baha’i teachings and enrich the spiritual lives of those who take part.
  • Children’s Classes
Baha’i children’s classes awaken the spiritual capacities of children, encouraging them to develop essential human virtues like love for others, altruism, knowledge of God, freedom from prejudice, honesty, respect and justice. The classes help children build kindness, inner strength and a deeply-rooted moral compass, all with the goal of achieving joyful excellence in the material, mental, and spiritual aspects of life.
  • Junior Youth Groups
Groups that are open to all junior youth (young adolescents between the ages of 11 to 14) regardless of faith, and are increasingly being held at the neighbourhood level. The groups help junior youth to develop their moral, ethical and spiritual framework in an enjoyable group setting, facilitated by an older youth or adult, known as an ‘animator’.
